Broke Xida update:

The RMA process is being handled by John Wagliardo and Chris of Inertia Labs. I have received relatively quick responses (even during a holiday weekend) and they are already in touch with tractive about the issue. They are working around my timeline, and I should be sending the shock out tomorrow.

So far I am pleased with the process, we'll see what tractive has to say.

Off topic...

You had NB length shocks before right, had to get the drop hats because NA tophats or monster truck? You never tried NB hats, right?

I can't make drop hats unless I ditch the cool SM spring perch isolators I have. They're too thin to pass the shock body, if I use them on drop hats I might just hit aluminum instead of bumpstop at times. NB hats are supposed to be 3/4 shorter as is, so if you only ran 1 or 1.5" hats, I might be fine at my ride height.

What do you think? I hate doing things twice...

I have NA length shocks. I had no droop travel in the rear at my ride height. I went with ISC hats because I had NA hats, and couldnt find a good dea on NB hats.
You aren't tracking it, and you're not a stance kid, you will be fine with NB top hats I bet.

Do you need NB hats?
I've been tempted by those 949 blems, and I'd be willing to send you mine.

Well, I wasn't planning on tracking it but now that the track might be open next year it'd be pretty tight. I think I am oil cooler and studs away from track ready, only one way to find out what else? Track is close, I can get home.

I'm confused how you didn't have droop travel though, don't hats trade droop for compression, assuming same ride height?

I want monk's package.

Yeah, hats take away droop. I had to crank up the preload on my springs to get to my ride height. I don't have much droop left, but a ton of compression. I can measure later this week when I start stripping it all off.

Pics.

Careful with the 949 spherical mounts on non-xidas. They take up some shock travel, and if you are on a setup that is already travel limited (almost every setup besides high end coils) you will lose a decent amount of travel.

Good luck!
Quoted to remember.

I'm confused. Whats the long edges?

If you wouldn't mind. I won't be doing anything till this weekend anyway.

I have these things here, with a poly isolator. They would take 1/4" spring travel, but doesn't look like any more than the bumpstop. Can't see them hitting, hopefully.

I know I had to crank the springs up really far, and it was pretty hard. 7" rear springs, with my drop tophats I probably would have done 6" springs. And I'm not that low.

Isn't that normal, I had to do that on the ricelands. I got fed up and used a coil compressor.

Idk, 6" springs might have been fine. I lost droop, but still had some.

NB hats get 7" springs for sure. And make sure you have a sleeve that allows you to go below the circlip.

Or lower the circlip.

Cut above the heads, below the tails, and in front of the red kitty. The purple kitty is the hinge side.
You should be able to feel the cardboard flap.
Don't cut too deep because there are several layers.

I have allstar sleeves, think I might turn the taper off the inside on one end so I can mount them upside down, if that makes any sense. Either that or I can be lazy and cut them a bit, I think they're like 1/4" too tall on the rear.
