Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap

I don't wanna.....
I'm just over working on it. If the turbo comes off it won't get back on for a few months. I just need to limp it to mrls then I'll work on it.

If you limp it to MRLS what do you plan on doing? You wont have time to fix it. You just have to get over the hill Aidan, one more push. Pull the turbo off. Put header on. See what happens.

I'll track it at mrls. If is the turbo they the smoking isn't hurting anything.
If someone wants to come pull the turbo by all means do it. But I'm burnt out.

My 2cents;
Pull any check valves off the coldside pvc piping - Mine still worked but I'll be damned if it didn't dramatically slowdown all of the air going through the can. Oil was all foamy too with the CV installed. Consider routing the hotside PVC pipe to the turbo filter like I did to pull a vacuum on the crank case under boost. I'm wondering if routing my hotside pvc to the turbo filter in conjunction with a larger drain fixed the issue I had with smoking, puling a vacuum on the crank case under boost can't hurt.

Oil bung pulled out of the pan. Drilling it out weakened it. That let some poo out. Fun times.
Going to drill and tap it. Hopefully I can get everything back together by Monday. Mike Franke at SE Power Systems offered to refresh the seals on the turbo, but won't do that until after track season.
Track day Monday. Going to log crankcase pressure and see how it looks. If I'm seeing excess pressure I may add the slashcut to the exhaust that I've had laying around for a while.
Honestly I'm probably just going to take a break from the car for a couple months after MRLS. I'm just burned out. Working on the car used to be fun, and it's not anymore, so I need to fix that.

How much was the refresh of the seals on the turbo or was he gonna cover it under warranty? You can pm me if you would rather not talk about that in the open. I totally feel for you being just burnt out on working on the car. I had the same thing happen to me after my first wave of bullshit. Really hoping I can get the turbo oil pressing issue solved again before another burn out.

I just realized that I spent 1,400 bucks this year to store my car and work on it. All I got done was an engine rebuild. Seriously like two weeks worth of work. I know the struggle.

Yeah it was a wild ride. I felt bad, but also don't think I could have done anything different. Car was fine. And I put 100 miles on it yesterday and 3 track sessions. Just teething issues I guess.
I'll use more jb weld this time around.

Probably missed (I probably missed it), but the oil burning has been isolated to the turbo correct? If not, has either smokey EFR been pulled and run a "by-pass" set up to fill in for the missing turbo to assure it is the turbo? I only ask because both of these are "fresh" (and same) engine builds.

Nothing is for sure. That's the current idea. Those are both good ideas. As stated above I'm burnt out on working on the car. And have to take it to MRLS. So both those things could be tested after that.
