Yank called up BW and asked exactly what the composition of the turbine housing was and got some exotic filler to mate the V-band to the turbine housing.

not sure how dnm had it done, but yea, interpolate on a cnc, use a rotary table on a manual, or use a 4 jaw on a lathe. i think the lathe is the best option.

https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo...d-mount-64716/

as long as the flange has the required material to contain the minimum necessary size v band, i dont see why not. its not ideal though for obvious reasons, thats a decent sized step. you may be able to transition it a little.

That's not actually a relevant picture.
Can I reuse lock nuts? The new ones are too ******* hard to turn in the space I'm working in. I can get to all but 2 with a socket. And an open ended wrench isn't cutting it when I'm reaching under the turbo.

you can reuse most any lock nut. most just start loosing thier locking ability after the first use

The way the car's put together, there really isn't any alternative to an open end wrench for a bunch of the turbo-to-manifold-or-downpipe nuts. Having a stubby open-end wrench helps.
