Better than a serious amount of stress on the torsen IMO. Bolts are way cheaper to replace.

It may, but those are beefy bolts and stress would be in shear. Its not something I would worry about, and that's sayin' something

Early miata don't have those tabs, just a heads up again.

I personally don't see the point in that brace, may as well run solid aluminum mounts.

Hence the need for a welder delrin mounts seem quite stiff. Maybe I'll try aluminum.

Not sure how I'm going to machine the lower mount pieces, I need to see how someone else makes them.

If I have an adjustable FPR is there any reason not to run like 90psi of fuel pressure? Wouldn't the injectors flow like double the fuel?

From what I understand, eventually they will lock open/lock closed. There is usually a "highest rated pressure" documented somewhere, but good luck finding that data on an OEM injector. You can probably find anecdotal evidence on the internets about OEM injectors, just be aware of the sources. With aftermarket injectors the manufacturer usually has a posted safe max pressure somewhere. For example I believe ID has this listed on their website.

Also, changing pressure will also change the advertised deadtimes.

other than being hard on the lines and clamps, no reason you can't do that. I thought I've heard that flow pattern suffers after you exceed a given limit, I don't remember. flow rate will go up, but I don't think it's linear and therefore double, but yea you can have moar boosts.

edit, and what he said /\

And with some injectors the spray pattern actually gets better at higher pressure

Good point. It's probably a bell curve

Are we sure that deadtimes are pressure related? I don't see pressure mentioned on this document:

Doing some math I estimate a flow rate of like 900cc at 90psi.

Then why are deadtimes the same between an NB 60psi fuel system and an NA 43.5psi fuel system?

So AFPR's are not cheap. 150 at least. What about finding a fixed FPR thats 90psi or so? Seems like it could be cheaper, and a way to get the most out of some of these new injectors. ID lists their max fuel pressure for ID1000's at 101.5psi differential. I don't see how they could have made their injectors support more fuel pressure when they are just custom Bosch EV14's.

I mean that sheet I posted. Its the sheet that Nigelt got back from the shop who tested his injectors. They don't list a pressure that that deadtime is at, just a voltage.

Just did some research and saw that yes, deadtimes are related to fuel pressure.
