Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap
Kickin' *** and taking names. Apparently.
No seriously, about the only thing I see failing in that setup is the rubber hanger. Maybe time for a poly one or a hose clamp?

It is a poly hangar, I'll probably add a hose clamp too just to be safe. I should go check out the baxters auto part store thats like 2 minutes away now.

Its looking like my next track day will be a track night July 3rd. This gives me some time to figure a couple things out. And make sure the car is good for thunderhill. Current to-do list.

1. Pull manifold, relief cuts, and surface.

2. Brakes. Start with pulling the pads. If they are tapered buy cobalt pads. If they aren't try bleeding the system. If that doesn't work replace master. I should add some sort of ducting. I just don't think I'm going that fast compared to other miatas.

3. Ducting. Need to seal my bottom ducting and build side ducting. Otherwise I'm happy with my cooling so far. I think I'm done with this. I added a vent, and the last track day I wasn't breaking 185 when running hard. If I find extra time I will add side ducting though.

4. Rebuild rear axles, find spare ABS 2 piece axle. And lots of axle nuts. No luck so far. And still not quite sure how to rebuild the axles. I've seen some mentions of it but nothing concrete. If I do figure it out I will write some how-to for dummies, because I wish I had one.

5. Make GoPro not suck. Still not sure on this one.

6. Install new front coilover sleeves and get an alignment with 949 half and half alignment. Ugh, too much stuff not enough time.

7. Install adjustable endlinks up front. Easy, I'm just lazy

8. Support Muffler Ghetto but good.

9. Drive the **** out of it. always do.

10. Get vent windows. Thunderhill in July is going to suck.

Would it be a good idea to figure out how to bring some large amount of Oregon gas when we go to thunderhill? Is california gas really that bad? I have a 5 gallon tank, but if I could find more that would be good.

Talking to jmann about his thunderhill trip, and one reason they melted a piston was that they were playing with the combustion chamber size and stuff. They went back to stock.

**** thats like 70 gallons. Not sure how I'm going to make that work.

@codrus don't you mix stuff to get higher? Can I add ethanol boost or something?

The octane boost in a can stuff is useless.
How many days at Thunderhill are you doing? 70 gallons is like three track days! Or are you budgeting to use it for the trip to/from as well? IMHO you're better off turning the boost down and just running regular pump gas for freeway trip.

The last time Gesso and I were at THill with his turbo NA we found that the fuel nozzles on the race gas pumps would not work with the stock filler neck. I believe he had to borrow a fuel bottle from someone to fill up. I'm not sure if its still set up that way, but just a heads up.

Its 2 days. 7 sessions per day. So maybe bring a 5 gallon can. And get 5 gallons from the gas station in willows. then 5 of the 100 octane?

In my experience if you screwed it up it'll leave a vertical ring of terribleness all over the underside of the car on that side. At least, that is what mine did.
How many miles since seal install?
