It'll be interesting to see how long Faefae's new 6-speed lasts though - I'm actually going to be watching this to decide if I want to strip my parts RX7 T2 for a tranny/diff swap or just go with a 1.8 diff and 6-speed tranny.

I really think the flat shift did it it. At the top of third gear i was hitting full boost. With flat shift it maintained around 20psi. So that was prob at least 300tq applied in an instant to fourth. Each time i did it, the driveline would BANG loudly.

I am almost afraid to have my car working again. I am so used to it being down :(

 

If you are flat shifting you will quickly kill this one too. I wouldn't even bother installing it unless you give up flatshifting and try not to break it instead of intentionally trying to break it.

Yeah, flatshifting is facking retarded. I can see doing it at the dragway or on the occasional street race against a zr1 or someshit but come on. Every 6speed you pop costs you like $700 and your car is down for weeks.

I think with all the power you're putting down, you could probably rape 90% of the cars you'll ever come across flatshift or not.

Once he ACTUALLY goes up against a hardcore street car we'll see how fast his car really is. Right now all we have is a shotty 4 second clip of like 10% of his cluster and gf screaming random crap into the camera. No dyno, no quarter mile time, no trap speed, and no race vids.

 

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that is all racing we will ever be able to do.

Even if he's only putting down 400whp, that's still plenty fast enough to run down almost any car, at least up to 130mph or so if he can keep traction.

My car at 15psi feels fast as fack, I can only imagine the potential of Fae's if he quits intentionally trying to destroy it, and stops diverting his attention away from completing it by buying another nb and pouring money into that instead.

As much as i would like it to be the fastest, it will never be the fastest.

There are indeed A LOT of very very far street cars out there. I lost a few races when i was on my gt30 and 25+psi. Those incidents made me sad but they are also a reality check.

My four year plan is to

Build another motor
Blow this motor up
Put new built motor in other miata along with bp turbo rig
Put built duramax in miata

Say f everyone and shoot for 3000hp and 15000tqs.
Wheelstand down the higwhway liftibg the fronts at 180mph

I flat shift my 6speed all day... My Adaptronic drops my RPM to 6300 when I press the clutch but I flat shift all the time.

 

He's making at least 100ft/lb more torque than you though.
