another oil analysis at 5 hours of track time:

This is great for an engine with 25k miles and about 40-hours of track time, maybe 50. It will get another 8 hours of track time this year. Not bad for a $2000 engine.

Yes. The only real notable data in this sample is that either my engine wasn't broken-in 6-months or 8 track days ago or getting oil temps from 290 to 230*f made iron wear drop in half.

I had a high iron reading on my M3 after taking it to the track. I am sending in another sample at the next oil change to see what it reads. The engine has 70K miles on it so it is not a break-in issue, at least not with the short block. The head was rebuilt last year.

I still don't have a camera...but this was so cheap I was absolutely required to buy it. Eventually I'll get a Racekeeper.

Good, there's only one Honda Oddessy Minivan-Green Miata on Earth.

I am kind of surprised it has taken this long for you to get any sort of DAQ.

But not the only Honda Oddessy Minivan-colored Miata on Earth, or the states...

Nice system, I have a v- box myself and love it. One of the most useful tools on my system is predictive lap timing, if gives instantaneous feed back based on your best sector times.

Hey, I saw you have the TDR ultrashields. What size do you have and did you have to beat on the tranny tunnel at all to fit them?

Also, how hard are they to get in and out of? I'm looking at putting them in my DD to clear a rollbar. I autocross the car now and plan on tracking it in the future as well. Thanks

I have a 15" on my side and 16" on the other, no hammering and I'm on the floor on the driver's side. I may swap my seat for John's halo seat.

Ok, thank you very much. Any comments on getting in with the top up? Also do they come with that blue strip or is the cover all black?

They were easier to get in than my kirkeys, but he also is bolted to the floor, I had mine on stock rails.

Getting in and out is just fine. TDR sells a seat rail for these seats and it's pretty good depending on your height. The cover is solid black with the TDR logo stitched in it.

Thank you very much guys. Your information was very helpful. I think I found my seat, now I just have to look into mounting it (I would like to have it on sliders for the time being so my girlfriend can still drive the car)
