Got it to start and run for a few seconds after resetting the timing. Didn't try for much more because I had no coolant in it and no belt on the water pump. Good stuff!! Aidan has video, I'm sure it'll be up soon.

totally forgot to set base timing, so that probably attributed to our hard to start. Also idle valve settings didn't transfer from the base tune for some reason. I'll try and get a video up soonish, but i'm at ORP right now and the video is on haileys phone.

Car still needs a lot of work, but this is good news. I finally got under the car and found it down stuck in the fuel line cover.

New Timing

Pff no way man I'd much rather install a Miata dashboard and unbelievably recalcitrant vent windows.

Woot grats!

ORP often opens up like that late in the day, it's awesome if you can drive up until track close since so many people leave early.
I didn't hydrate well enough, so I had to call it a day when I started getting thirsty and slightly light headed. I did get a 50 minute straight session though.

Car wouldn't run next day. Spent a couple hours troubleshooting last night. BUT... pulled plugs, and they weren't sparking correctly. New plugs and fill with gas (.... i think it was dry....) and it fired right up.

there is no set values. fiddle with the 4 until it matches up. it's linear
so you can start with 10=0 and 18=5 or whatever the advertised values are, and go from there

Well, there are set values, but it might not be perfect. I generally plugin AEM's values and leave them. Bigger fish to fry.

.35v for 10.0
4.54v for 18.5

These are the numbers I use. They're hidden away in a thread here somewhere, and they're as near to perfect as I can find.

Apologies to the guy who came up with these numbers, I would give you credit but frankly I can't find you.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but congrats man! I know what it's like to get bogged down in a project like this but seeing it run again sure gives the ole motivation a shot in the arm don't it?
