Why? Very small chance it's a brain tumor/met, most likely heart related, heads got nothing to do with that, syncopal episode most likely just a secondary symptom of zero blood to the brain.

 

<p>He did experience a spat of elevated heart rate, flushing, and light-headedness yesterday evening after we got him home again, so hopefully that gives them the info they need.</p>

 

Cardiovascular system is like any fluid pump. If you have no volume, the heart will pump faster to try to compensate. Eventually your blood pressure will fall and you'll faint. Water=blood. Keep him hydrated.

<p>Don't know what came over me, but after burning the rubber off these things had become seriously rusty and ugly. But Monday only had a few hours because of Dad.&nbsp;</p><p>Dad's heart monitor results were pretty crazy&nbsp;-- during the 48 hours he wore the monitor, his heart stopped 3 times, for almost 3 seconds each. He also had some extremely slow heart rate moments, all the way down to 23 bpm... and some crazy high moments, up to 187 bpm, despite no rigorous physical activity during that time. He was in the ER again yesterday&nbsp;waiting to get a pacemaker put in, and it went in today. Thankfully all is fine so far, surgery went well.</p><p>Reassembly is going to take me a minute. I just haven't done this enough times, so it's fairly slow going. Got the driver side rear seat humps out, gotta come up with a good solution to mount the seat (and accidentally poked a hole in the floor trying to drill out the spot welds).</p><p>Anyway... Yeah.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br />&nbsp;</p>

 

Eegads, I've seen you mount a seat, maybe wait for someone more experienced? Fairly important part of the car...

Also, those diff mounts do have a torque spec...

 

<p>Hey now.</p><p>And I read somewhere that the diff mounts have a torque spec, but that it's difficult to reach it since the bushing squishes. I do plan to get under there and torque everything to spec. I bought a HF torque wrench that's a POS, can't feel the click.</p><p>P.S. I did have an expert's help on the seat mount, remember? hehe... that bracket bent horribly in the accident BTW. Oi. I'm doing things right this time around though. All legit stuff, done right. c'mon now.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>And hey... The S2k is working fine, and I did all the mechanical side of it myself!</p>

I'm interested in what you mean by stiff in the control arms. I have just replaced all my oem ones for es poly and they seem stiffer to move than I was expecting. Do they loosen up a bit once you drive on them a bit?

I can't recall, do you have zerk fittings in your control arms? A quick shot of some Amsoil Dominator makes them move like buttah.
