Lol perfect. I'd recommend lots of plastic if you want me to put it in the trunk of a car like the last guy who bought a miata engine from me, this one is very well rust protected.

I cant for the life of me fine the coarse stone. It may have been "borrowed".

The fine stone doesnt have any identifying marks on it, figures. Its just a cheapy I think I got from carquest or whatever 6-8 years ago.

Im guessing its around 300-400?

Ill buy what I need though. So, what grit? im going to see is the FSM says anything about it.

I think that one should work
..really you just want the walls "not smooth" to help the rings seat, you don't need to hog them out like crazy.

Right, just need something for the rings to chew on. Last time I used that hone was in 2011 on a similar nissan rebuild, stock bore with new iron rings. Rings seated great, that motor has some miles on it now and is doing well.

The finish isnt on par with carillo, but theyre not bad for $200

Rod bolts appear to be authentic as far as I can tell.

FWIW, I ran those ebay rods like those, looked identical, same numbers on the ARP bolts (just checked), rev'd them to 8,800 a lot and they worked great. I run the fancy Carrillos now but damn if those ebay rods didn't take a beating without missing a beat.

I researched them pretty well. I found a handful of builds or anecdotes, you were one of them, that abused them with good results. Thanks for checking the bolts.

So much exite!
