TD04/TD05 fitted in place of T25/T28
I have a question regarding my OEM Lancer recirculating blow off valve.
I searched regarding recirculating BOVs and I guess it is normal that they open during throttle blips / high vacuum conditions?
My question is that it it shouldn't automatically mean that a stronger spring is needed? I will be running low boost as I have 315cc injectors/stock clutch/and paralyzed by fear even at 6psi

on the down pipe in your pic. What pattern is that and what is it used on. I have a china turbo i bought thinking it was t25 in and out but the down pipe flange is a wierd 5 bolt flange looks like your. I am trying to figure it out so i can sell it with correct info.

I made it this way as I had an existing t25/t28 manifold and downpipe on the car.
If I was starting from scratch I would use the TD04 13t but probably not the same piping route.
Unless you want built motor power then I think a mild steel log manifold would be OK.
This one I made for a friends car which we will fit soon.
(Recycled flange from old manifold, a few tees and elbows and some welding.)

The turbo fits without clocking and the Subaru decat downpipe bolts up with a little flange rework.
Setups like this can be cobbled together for 100$.

This pattern is found turbos from IHI and Mitsubishi for Subaru's, Impreza, Forrester, Legacy etc. so probably a good way to describe it would be a Subaru 5 bolt downpipe flange.
Ha ha ha ha, just read this thread again. Obviously I was running full retard when I hacked this together 
I pulled it apart today as the #4 manifold runner started cracking.

A year of abuse has taken its toll on some previously shiny bits.

But it somehow held together.

Time to butcher up something new!

For what it's worth, you could have used the turbine housing from a greddy td04 turbo (like the miata greddy kit, or maybe the D-series honda?). It's a direct fit to the MHI TD04 CHRA and makes it a t25 inlet/outlet flange.
I will probably make a new manifold that suits the Subaru turbo.
(I sketched a rough set up.)


I would like the turbo to sit forwards and low. I haven't seen manifolds like this so there must be reasons why not to do this?
I wouldnt set it like that at all, even though the td04 is tiny and doesnt weigh much. Not only is it likely going to break at the collector you're going to choke up flow with that extension tube. Make the collector just before the turbo.
For something like that you'd usually see longer runners meeting at the turbo flange. We've made them, search "ramhorn" manifolds, although they generally hold the turbo upside down.
