Good win racing also claimed unobtainable horsepower numbers while conveniently leaving out crucial details.
They have superchargers to sell. They have some good products but in my eyes have very little credibility when it comes to their own testing.

So I'm still not sure what route to go on that. I know Delicious Tuning is supposed to go back to working on a Flex Fuel kit before the end of the year.
I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer what "range" they would put the trade-in on the BRZ before I bother driving down there, it's a 45 minute drive from my house and I'm lazy.
I received a nasty surprise when they pulled my VIN, apparently it has a "branded" title since when I purchased the car, the original DMV agent put 120,000 miles...............for a brand new, never titled car. But the DMV said they will have that mistake handled in a couple of weeks and have me a clean title next week, at no charge to me.

The GWR long-tube header was advertised to make ridiculous power and not one single person has been able to get remotely close independently. All the autocrossers started out with the long-tube, got pissed about not making the power, and have moved on. The big one now is the JDL header. Emilio himself moved on from the GWR long-tube.
Goodwin did the same damn thing with the 2.5 swaps for NC's. He advertised 200 whp by just doing the swap and nothing else. That turned out to be a lie too.
My logic when I traded in my NC was that I was getting a new car that had a 2.0 that could reach the power levels of a 2.5, but it was in a better looking car and much lighter. Jokes on me that GWR lied their asses off for both power levels.

All the above is news to me. Interesting how that played out. Was not aware about GWR's past claims, definitely makes me raise a brow.

I didn't know they had such a history with the NCs. I really enjoyed visiting with the guys at their shop and I'd definitely consider buying from them as it was a top-notch experience, but I won't buy anything based on their claims. The ND with the spiffy header and such was way fun, but not 200whp.

^Yeah, they were claiming 35-40whp with a longtube header and tune ON PUMP GAS.
I'd like to see numbers with a shorty header and E85 but can't recall seeing any. Brandon, is there a good forum for the ND that isn't mt.net? The dealer here is trying to trade r--- me on the BRZ, but I'm going to see if that is still the case in a couple months when they still have that same 2016 sitting on the showroom floor.
What seem to be the reliable numbers for a header and tune on pump gas? E85?

We have tried four different headers, on Sunoco 100, tuned my OVT and myself, multiple exhaust, two different engines. 161whp SAE corrected dynojet. At Solo nationals, we were right with all the other cars in the Pro Solo final 60ft bot on the clock and visually. I suspect there are a few guys in the upper 160's but that's about it. After MRLS we plan to do a comprehensive header test, all on the same map, dyno, fuel, cat as fast as we can swap headers. So probably a full week of testing: AVO, OFT, GWR shorty, GWR LT, JDL. We will also restest LRR w/ midpipe (GCC header). We'll end up selling whichever header makes the most area under the curve, if one really stands out. If none really stand out, we'll just keep whatever the last test header was on it.

I can't wait for that test! It would really suck for my transmission to break on the way to, at, or on the way back from M@MRLS, but I don't want to touch anything engine or transmission wise on my car until it blows up. I know people have been getting their transmissions replaced by just asking for it, or even showing up with full exhausts and all that, but my dealer had my car for a damn week and said it was fine.

This. The header/tune debacle makes me very weary of anything they claim.

I've driven both in ST trim and honestly I'd rather buy the brz. It was just much more fun to drive. Felt like it had more power and the handling was much more pleasant. I might have a different opinion if the ND I drove wasnt on hateful rivals, but the car just seemed to randomly want to snap spin when you got to the limit where as the brz would just let you do whatever the hell you wanted even if it wasnt fast. The ND is certainly faster, but personally I found it unpleasant.
The ND makes the same torque, lower, and with nearly 500lbs less to lug around.
