Wagner thermoquiet pads on the lgt. No complaints.
Still waiting on my airbag. Got the notice about 3 months ago. :( |
Yeah, there are grumblings about a class action against Subaru for taking forever.
|
there are rumblings about Subaru for years now, about all the head gaskets, all the ringlands, all the spun bearings, defective oil pickup tubes, etc etc etc.
and yet here we are |

I remember seeing something the other day that since we are talking about 50million + vehicles affected it could take years to replace all of them. How is that the fault of Subaru? |
Wouldn't Takata (spelling?) be the liable party?

Derp. I somehow glazed right over that.
If you don't want the XP8, maybe try the 1521 or AX6. EDIT: fuck it, bought the AX6s. seem to have better bite than stock without being as crazy as XP8. realistically i have no idea when I'll get this thing on a track anyway. |

I got my notice for that almost a year ago, and the one time I called the dealer they said "we will call you when we have the parts in stock". I work at a dealership so I know that roughly translates to "fuck off", so I'm gonna eventually show up in person and make sure they order the parts and set an appointment for them to do it lol |
Someone traded a new 5.0 in at my work. I smog every car that comes in there so I took it for a spin. Now I really want one. Dat tork
It had the shittiest bounciest coil overs/adjustable whatevers(didn't look but my coworker said they were coilovers) on it that I've ever been on. Also I'm 90% sure the PO gutted the cats lol |
hahaha I guess ricers ruin 40k cars too
I'm so happy with my stock suspension that it's never getting changed. I'm also so happy with the stock exhaust that it also isn't ever getting changed. There are 2 things this car might be getting, ever: flex fuel tune supercharger |
You spelled turbocharger wrong.
|
............but I want to be DIFFERENT :magna: |
Went to roll the drivers window down in the LGT yesterday and the switch made a crunch noise and now it sticks either going up or down and is almost impossible to get it in the neutral position. Lol, i felt like an idiot trying to get it where i wanted.
Off to ebay. Any tricks to the subaru door panels? I cant remember the last time i took one off. |

I can't help much with the door panels, but the switch itself is a known issue. Mine is still functional but does not work all that well.
Found this Subaru Legacy Forums - View Single Post - Driver's window switch died today Apparently the little plastic pins in the bottom of the rocker break. I found a post in the "broken switch megathread" where someone made new ones from a cloths hanger or something. Maybe ill make some delrin pins. |
well today i figured out why i didnt like the feel of the brakes on my STI. i took them apart and found that the previous owner used some shitty o'reillys brake pads. he also covered the car in rally team USA stickers when he owned it.
fucking douche. |

All of the current crop of parts are in.
- Jackson Racing dual cooler (double sized radiator with oil cooler built-in, their testing shows it keeps the oil at 30° delta to water, perfect. And helps warm it up in the winter). - G Loc R10 pads, supposed to be Carbotech XP10 clones, but cheaper. Should be great, I've used these on three different brake setups between 2 Miatas. - Motul RBF 660 - SPL lower control arms.........pic of one for the porn factor. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1464354763 Now I just have to find time to install it all. Not having a garage anymore is a real pain in the ass. Then once the arms are in, need to get the car corner weighted and aligned |
Interesting to see rad/oil cooler together. Have these been proven long term and by unbiased users? I thought I remember someone saying those don't really work that well in application?
Neat looking control arms. |
They were just released, Jackson Racing did something like 10,000+ miles of testing. Including track testing on their FI cars.
Essentially supposed to be for guys like me who use the car as a DD and will occasionally track it. Once it's installed, I'll be able to do some datalogs with the OFT to see how it does. The only reason I trust this particular product is because it's from Jackson Racing. |

Fair enough
I was thinking of this post from thumpetto's build thread.

CSF needs to come out with their radiator with the built-in oil cooler already.

Why? So you can pump more heat into the already heavily taxed Miata cooling system?
But I'm sure if JR will release it, they will make sure it works properly. In other news, I bought my first "mods" for the crowd mower: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1464967115 Improve straight line traction AND cornering? Why yes please :) |
