The problem for the BURZ is oil temps, not coolant. Even with the tiny radiator guys are tracking FI cars with no issues on the stock radiator. Even stock cars will overheat the oil quickly though. So this doubles the core size and surface area and adds the oil cooler, I think it will work out.

What all do we have there? Some kind of rear subrframe brace? Adjustable control arms? Are those sway links or some type of control arm brace?

EO2K 06-03-2016 12:29 PM

Heim joints? On street car suspension?

18psi 06-03-2016 12:39 PM

Actually I don't even plan to run the toe arms and end links, just those bars on top and the little rings on the left.

It's basically an IRS "lockdown kit" that keeps the rear subframe from moving around during launch and hard cornering. They specifically state "no NVH increase" on both those parts, and have a ton of really good cust reviews so I think it's legit. (they are a really high rated brostang company)

The suspension is staying stock on this car (daddy likes comfort), and install is easy and completely reversible, so why not.

As for the BURRZ cooling, yeah the complaints came from stock rad guys, I guess when you're increasing cooling capacity that much it doesn't even matter that both coolers are together.

EO2K 06-03-2016 12:43 PM

Oh yeah I know Steeda, they generally don't make shit. I've owned something like 5-6 Mustangs in the distant past so I'm familiar with most of the larger Mustang aftermarket parts vendors.

You have no idea how much shit I got from my friends when I sold the last Mustang and bought an NA ;)

hahaha, I should get a license plate:

"my other car is a Miata"

:giggle:

Yep. It's already on 255/35/18 Star Specs, and the Ground Control coilovers are solid mounts front and rear. It's not like it's going to make much of a difference. The only thing I'm going to do is see if I can find a good tight fitting cover to go over it to help keep the grime out.

I figured that's what the big braces were for. I need to do the same for the diff/trans mounts on the BURZ, tons of slop.

I can't wait for you to give in to the mod bug on the Stang. :)

NO CHARLESSSS!!!
The temptation is so strong that I actually took up road biking just to have another hobby and hopefully stay away from boosting the mustang for as long as I can.
It's not a rabbit hole. It's more like a bottomless pit that literally has no end.

I was actually coming back to post this! Insanely impressive, although I'm not sure how long that would last.

If I could justify ditching the BURZ and getting an S550. Intake, full exhaust, E85. Some type of coilovers that aren't extreme, like Bilstein PSS or something, monster set of of like 20x11 with 305s or something all the way around.

Call it a day. They are already bonkers fast stock, FI, just makes them useless unless you're trying to drag race on slicks, or have a highway queen.

Whats wrong with that? Ball joints are metal on metal ball in socket joints and they've been stock on nearly every car made in the last century. Heck the ND has some arms with metal on metal joints on both ends in the back.

EO2K 06-06-2016 08:02 PM

Because they will wear, start to click, and Vlad will kill himself trying to find the noise :giggle:

Leafy 06-06-2016 08:08 PM

Then he'll drink a can of man the fuck up and drop $140 for 4 NHBB rod ends.

Off to ebay.

Any tricks to the subaru door panels? I cant remember the last time i took one off.

Same failure on mine, paid a fortune at dealership for a new switch a few years ago. Door panel wasn't hard to take apart, I just googled it and did what it said, no drama. The new switch from subaru, the buttons feel different than the old one, like stiffer/stronger. Had no problem since replacing it.

So how much boost will you be running?

Why would Vlad kill himself? He doesn't drive the BURZ.

18psi 06-07-2016 09:25 AM

lolol

I like many things about the bruhstang, but 2 of the most important ones are how comfy it is and how relatively quiet it is. Those two will never change if I can help it.
It's not floaty or "Cadillac" comfy, it's actually very sharp and sporty, but each bump doesn't beat you up, and you don't feel like a child jossling over every bump all "racecar" like. Feels like a proper GT car. And regarding sound: I almost never listen to music when driving (despite this thing having a KILLER stereo system, seriously impressive), I just like it to be as quiet as possible and just listen to the engine burble and make cool noises.

The last thing in the world that I would want is to ruin what I enjoy so much and one of the biggest reasons I got this car.

z31maniac 06-07-2016 10:18 AM

I've now decided the BURZ is so uncomfortable, so I may as well go all the way. With coilovers and 255 Star Specs, I can't even talk on the phone, or use the headunit Bluetooth to talk on the phone the road noise is so loud.

The GC coilovers are getting ready to come off to go back to GC, revalved, resprung, and mounts freshened with new bearings and such.

Maybe I'll change my mind again once I put the stock suspension/wheels back on the car and realize it's comfy again.

Last time I checked Steeda didn't make suspension parts for the Burpz, and Vlad posted the pic ;)

My WRX had a serious engine stumble under hard cornering this morning on the way to work, and the low fuel light came on about 15 seconds later. What gives? I know I can take the Miata down to vapors and still pull G's on a skidpad, is this a normal thing with the WRX with that little fuel in the tank?
