After the math that Ian just did I think I should be fine with a 2.5"

Nope. Even 1/2 psi drop pre-turbo is detrimental, especially on the 6758. You do the math, you have the compressor map.

I will run with a 2.5 intake and filter. And without it. And will have dyno numbers. Just give me a few weeks to get the motor back together.

I have no dog in the fight. I will post results.

if it was a massive detriment I'm sure people would have caught on and more turbo guys would be running a 3" intake.

Never assume. And there are lots of turbo guys running 3.0 or bigger.

i have 2" hotside piping. So we may not see gains. I hope to have some 2.5" piping and do more testing.

Most turbo cars outside of maitas even running the same power as most of us do are 3". 3.5 doesnt seem unreasonably uncommon in the 400+ bracket either.

I have seen actual testing. I'm too lazy to post it up. But no, you don't need 3" and no it's not a big detriment at all

kthxbi

Assume your constants and let the math do the talking... i won't hold my breath for any substantial results

That looks like a 5" filter with some sort of velocity stack under it lol.

Keep speculating guys. I'll spend the extra $5 of dyno time to figure out how my setup works best. Which is how everyone should do it.

Bought a 3.3 r&p...Just because. I probably still plan on an 8.8. but this is a good backup plan

Smart decision. Those will never go down in value unless MF starts making a whole ton of them in the future, which I highly doubt.

Go down?

if I was a D!ck, I could probably buy these out and they will be worth their weight in gold by week's end.
