Perhaps even try launching on the dyno, see what else you can shred. It was gonna break anyhow.

Do 1 of these runs.

I had the opportunity to play around with that function on a dyno a few years ago. Was really a lot of fun. Would also make for an INCREDIBLE video if the dyno straps chose that moment to break

Sell it and do the T5 swap. Seriously.

They can be built to hold anything you'll throw at it.

I remember Brian Meyers hitting 2nd gear with his built T5 while the car was still nose up in his Renegade car. If it can hold for a pass or two in that car (about all the longer those would hold in that car), you should have zero issues. Best of all, any redneck can rebuild it. In school, my best time was 25 minutes to strip it to nothing and have it reassembled and shifting perfectly.

+1 on the T5 swap. I could help you with the adapter or you can call BEGI who made their own bellhousing. If you go the BEGI route you should be able to use most of your fancy clutch, you may just have to get discs with a different spline

Unless the Rx7 uses the same spline, driveshaft, shifter location, PPF stuffs as the miata (and is strong enough).

I know nothing about this T5 conversion or the T5 transmission.

Please spoon feed me.
