Winner is me. It has so many frikken vacuum ports I can use it as a distribution block haha.

When I am done my wastegate will have cost more than my manifold FTW

nice wastegate, you would go the next step and get a watercooled wastegate lol.

Speaking of avoiding lag I have been thinking about procuring a QSV and also doing pre-compressor water injection, that is assuming that I can one day get my WI brain fixed.

Oh and I think that with those two lag reducing bits of wonder, this could help deliver win:

Brand new they are going for pretty cheap now so used prices are probably pretty good, assuming I can find one.

Do the Borg.

My buddy with a 1j mark 2 put on on and made boost 1000rpm earlier and 80hp more than compared to a standard t4.

What was wrong with it? 38mm should be sufficient given your higher boost level. Was it leaking? O-ringed WG gasket is all you need. v-bands are cool though. I've got 3 in my exhaust.

If you already are running meth injection and a decent intercooler, why do you want to run pre-compressor WI? It's just another failure point for all your plumbing.

I want to try pre-compressor WI for faster spool, and depending on the turbo I end up using, to extend the efficiency of the compressor map. I think I will first see what results I can get with pre-comp injection, and if it doesn't make a big enough difference with spool, get the quick spool valve.

Nothing is wrong with my old wastegate. I just want to sell it with the rest of my hotside as a complete package. It actually never leaked.

How in theory does pre-compressor WI increase spool?

Otay this turbo is looking like it would be the turbo for me:

BW 177272

60mm inducer
.91 A/R twinscroll/divided turbine housing
anti surge compressor housing
extended tip compressor wheel

Looks like it should be able to hit high 500s/600hp with 28psi. Could get new for $650 shipped.

If your gonna bite the bullet and get a quick spool valve then just buy a turbo made for 700hp with a lower exhaust A/R and then you only have to run like 18psi. creates less heat and let the turbo and other parts live longer. Same amount of air less heat and lower boost how can you go wrong. Did you look into the Bullseye s375 it would be around what you need.

s366 with race cover!!!

.91 A/R twinscroll/divided turbine housing
anti surge compressor housing
extended tip compressor wheel
anti surge will slow your spool by a few 100 rpm's dont get it if you have an option.... tho it doesnt really matter

and i believe all the BW "S" seriese turbo are extended tip thats how they got their foot in the door with the turbo market....

In short increased mass flow rate = more power
and
The E-Cool (seriously this time) of the water/meth decreases the resistance of the compressor wheel which allows the turbine to work more efficiently which in turn makes the compressor work more efficiently.

Today was super awesome fun time for my car.

It rained so I did not put my fresh MT ET DR IIs on my car. Instead I shortened my oil drain line because it was horribly kinked and bending in on itself. I did it while the turbo and attached drain line were in the car. It actually wasn't that horrible and only took half an hour. I bought Koul tool and that **** made the job much much easier. I also cleaned up my little rats nest of wiring. Also, I decided to say **** it, and not run a catch can. If I end up like bbundy puking smokescreens, then I will run a catch can. But, unfortunately, I really don't have a good location to mount the can with the huge *** -12 vent lines. Their bend radious is pathetic so it really limits options. That's all.

Oh and I also decided on a new turbo. After looking at many dyno plots and talking with a few shops I think this is the one for me:

Borg Warner 177283.

Details are here:
