First Google hit
Store - Fuel Pressure Regulator (99-05)
Spec miatters have been doing this since they allowed AFPRs.

Pretty cool. I'm trying to figure out why the heck its so expensive though? Because of the extra tiny bit of hardware? Or just because that company is greedy?
I mean brand name FPR's are only 150-200. I could probably put together something similar for 300 tops.
I actually will consider something like this if I run out of fuel or have FPR issues, thanks for the suggestion.
On another note, tried to smog it yesterday and the guy scanned it and said its not ready yet. Said EGR and EVAP wasn't ready yet.
I put like 50+ miles on it yesterday including 1 cold start/warmup. Kinda curious how many miles it takes. I'll have to try again on monday.

Its expensive because SpecMiata. You are right though, that solves a bunch of problem in one shot.
I believe its something like 4-6 full warmup & cooldown cycles before all the counters are set, I had the same problem a couple years back. I just DD'd it for a week and it passed fine.

Flyin' Miata : Instructions : Misc
Look at the install instructions for the big fuel kit. I'm not sure if you can only use the AEM FPR or if all FPRs can be set up like that. If I was smart I would have stored all the part numbers I found to do it somewhere I could find but that appears to not be the case.
Another option is use the corvette filter/regulator. If I remember collectly that is a much cheaper way to go.

I typically quote people 100 miles. EGR typically runs at steady state cruising, EVAP typically runs..... whenever it damn well pleases, but usually it's the last monitor to run. Warmed up driving will make the last two run. Cold starts aren't doing anything for you, at this point. I found my 99 was most likely to run EGR at between 45-55 steady state, low load cruising.
FWIW: Most code-readers can check "I/M" status, and tell you which have run. Scan-tools, obviously, can do this as well. I doubt any NB computer would have the ability to "command" monitors to run, like the OBD2.5 cars. That would be super convenient though. As the smog tech said to the customer: Just drive it.

I have no real goals or projections at this point. The amount of boost or power I'll push it to will just be what feels good lol. It should be somewhere in the 300whp neighborhood though.
As of now the engine is completely disconnected and we'll pull it out tomorrow, and throw in the build one. Then start bolting together the positive pressure goodies.

18, any chance I could beg from you some pics of whatever you are doing for intercooler mounting? I'm sitting here staring at my car with the front end all ripped apart scratching my head this afternoon.

Winning! Thanks V
Ed: I've seen those and quite honestly, I almost bought one but I'm not sure I like how far forward it sits. I need to be a little more inconspicuous.
I removed my AC today, BECAUSECALIFORNIA and I'm trying to figure out how to mount a 6x2.5x20 (28 OAL) Godspeed M that I picked up quite some time ago. No TIG so tabs aren't really an option at the moment. I want it as far back toward the radiator as possible but I'm unsure how it needs to sit in there. Like if its supposed to be sandwiched directly up against the radiator, if it needs to be straight up and down or angled, how it needs to be supported, etc. I've never done this before so I'm trying to make sure don't need to redo all this crap again later.
Related: **** YOUUUUUU and your immaculately clean engine bay, I'm super jelly. I don't understand how a car that actually gets driven can stay that clean. Everything below the frame rails on mine looks like I've been driving it through a sludge pond.
