Yeah I like the hammered look too. I ALMOST did mine in a hammered texture gunmetal grey finish, but decided to go function>form and just hit it with steel wool and some wd40. I also did all the other aluminum stuff with the same method, so it all looks pretty uniform. I like the way it came out, not perfect but clean.

You still have that same car? Hows that engine holding up?!
#684
He sold it to birdzofprey I believe, but the car is still running great. Its funny cause that car's been sold like 4 times, and each new owner hits me up via PM and picks my brain about re-tuning the MS2 for a different fuel/octane/etc.
I should just find the old tune and post it cause in a few years every member of this forum will have owned my car

So the S4 your going with is this the new thicker guage BEGI one or the old one? I'm doing and old S4/Disco as well on a built VVT engine. I'm still a while away from it all but I'll have to watch here for details. I'm hoping for 300whp on pump, not going for E85. 300 will be plenty enough.

Its the older one. Corky refurbished/re-inforced it (even though it wasn't cracked or broken) so it should be fine. Plus it has the brace, and I'll be running on e85 and not revving past 7k.
Yeah 300whp on pump should definitely be attainable. Plenty of documentation of that from my research. That's why I might shoot for more if I get bored

Seriously want another turbo Miata. But I really, really, really love the V8 torque, so the real chances are that I'll be getting a sortof beater Miata to thrash around and keeping the GTO as well. We shall see. Maybe I can afford to buy Vlad's car AND keep the GTO. I could be that baller.
