Probably not an issue for you because instructor but I read an Audi track day rule that requires the same safety stuff on each side, ie 6 point on both. Is this a moot point because you aren't a student?
They won't care about 6 point on drivers side and 5 point on passenger side, they just don't want halo-Hans-6 point cage for the driver and stock 3 point for the instructor.
It's a moot point because Audi club days suck

Audi is just slow, since I instruct I get to run in the instructor group and it's not too bad, alfa day was by far the worst. Did a few other little interior things. Blox Neochrome weighted ****, NRG quick release from the galant (i swapped to a black one and a stock miata **** for a more subtle interior in the daily), and Humming Aero Pedal covers.

Photo DUMP time! Short block is complete, long block is nearing completion.
Heaviest rods matched with lightest pistons. This put the assemblies +/- 1g

No, I didn't forget to install the retaining clips. That would suck.

How to seal an oil pan:
Use a razor blade to scrape off excess RTV from RMS bracket and oil pump install. Love me a clean Boundry Engineering oil pump.

Lay bead of RTV around pan.

Install modified MBSP, oil pickup tube, and gaskets

Lay another bead of RTV over everything.

Install pan. I used my drill set to 3 ft/lbs (not accurate, but it gets them evenly torqued) to screw in the 20,000 bolts, then use an in/lb torque wrench to torque to 70-95 in/lbs (that's off the top of my head, double check that before installing).

MMMMM head...

Ready for shimming:

Mazda made the oil drain for the catch can on the MSMs with a handy restrictor. I'll be chopping off the hose barb, and drilling/tapping this hole for an 1/8 NPT oil temp sensor. Thanks Mazda!

His car is so well done for a track rat. Love that smurf. Highly contemplating the front bumper cutout for my oil cooler. Highly doubt I'd be able to cut it as cleanly as he did though.
The hole has been more or less proven non-functional. Don't think it hurts anything, but there's really no room to duct into it, and seriously no room to duct out of it. I regret it.
I also worked a bit on the injector harness. The oem injector clips were cut off, and the new ones were wired sequentially, crimped and heat shrunk. Then it was all wrapped in this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HWROLIG
Which won't melt until 500f, and resists 400volts/mil, and it's about a mil thick, and double wrapped. So about 800volts of resistance? Overkill, for sure. But when you've seen the way Martin drive a miata on track, and you're asked to build him a reliable engine, you overkill all the things. He's lucky I didn't locktite the spark plugs.

The extra injector wires, coolant sensor wires, and Vics solenoid will be run through a 4-6 wire plug, most likely to be salvaged from the very wire harness the engine was originally wired to.
