I may have missed it but which seat mount are you using for your spg again? I'm debating if I should the fixed seat mount or the adjustable from kazespec for my spg.

 

I used the kazspec adjustable on both sidesSo i got the passenger seat in, here is my mom test fitting it for the first time. Also the local guys came over to drop the motor in, bit of wiring, a little fuel hose and some coolant lines and we should be doing some break in miles

we also found this interesting tidbit INSIDE the fuel tank

Makes me Jealous as hell there are basically no tracks in Alabama. We got Barber, I could get on that track ~ twice a year.

I don't know where in Alabama you live but you can't be too impossibly far from Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, heck...even NOLA Motorsports Park.

The Southeast is flush with great tracks...you might not have one in your backyard but in general, I would say the SE is better off for tracks than the Pacific Northwest.


I've always used a 6-10 hour drive radius...if there's a track ~10 hours or less from me...it's doable.

 

Atlanta is close enough its doable, anything else is just to far to drive down there.

My wife can't do more than about 6 hours in a car. Bad back. Don't wanna keep thread crapping, so I will say Good luck with the future build.

This thread has inspired me to do something with my MSM powertrain once I get the car with some v8 swapage. I had not considered a cheap NA shell and a swap until now.

 

Martin, how do these look? If they look usable I'll package them up and get them shipped this morning.

What would really mess with peoples heads is to put a 1.6 into an NB.

Ok it was a bad joke. Yes they did it everywhere but the USA. It's how Reverant knew to setup my 1.6 with NB sensors to run sequential fuel.

 

No this is for a spare 1.6 that I need to complete, nothing to do with laz, if this car gets another motor, it will be a 2.0 that says mivec on the valve cover and 4g63 somewhere on the block

 

^^^Sploosh. It would be awesome to see a 4G63 swap.

 

If its the same tranny bolt pattern as the 4G54 it wouldnt even be all that difficult. The same level of difficulty of an FE3 swap.

 

Id just use the same bellhousing adapter that the 4g6x Starion guys use. That + oem evo ecu would be a reliable 400 wheel without any of the stupid BP vibration issues, not to mention twin scroll awesomeness.

Got a few little things done on Lazarus, ran a single piece SS clutch line from the master to the slave, great upgrade to minimize leak points and clean up the engine bay, not to mention get rid of the curly q. I know miataroadster sells one however if you go to your local hydraulic supply store you should be able to make your own for 30 dollars. Also installed a new brake master as mine was quite leaky towards the end of the season.



I never really got a good shot of the radiator ducting that Mobius helped me with last season. It's just shower pan liner material but after we sealed it up to the radiator it made a huge difference in cooling, I didnt have any issues the rest of the season after that. In these photos it's not fully sealed as I just dropped the radiator back in. Really helped force the air that goes through my giant intercooler to continue on through the radiator rather than dispersing out the sides
