I believe you can delete the fuel damper if you mount a regulator closer to the rail. The damper is just there to account for fluctuating fuel pressure due to the regulator being in the fuel tank
Delete intank fuel regulator and the damper on the rail
Mount Fuel Regulator on firewall
Route lines
Win

That is very nice advice, but you really should not mount anything fuel related to the firewall. I believe most motorsport sanctioning bodies do not allow it. It is a safety issue.

Edit: I looked at the SCCA and NASA rule books and there is no such rule. Interestingly, metal fuel lines are allowed in the passenger compartment. That surprises me. NHRA rules do not allow fuel components on the firewall. Those are the rules I am most familiar with.

I'm not mounting it to the wall guys, or even running an aftermarket regulator actually. Again, my biggest emphasis here is to not modify anything permanently or obviously.

From what I gather I can simply eliminate the "loop" and 1 of the dampeners without much, if any, consequences. That's what I'm going to do: leave the one on the oem rail, but delete the one to the side of the manifold because with the thupercharger it just simply doesn't fit without relocating or moving it.

Anywho, I plan to have this nearly finished up today, and hopefully, HOPEFULLY, start this bad boy up on the new setup finally.

I am interested to hear driving impressions of a well setup supercharger from someone who is from team turbo and not 100% bias for or against the supercharger from the get go. I have never had the pleasure of driving one so I am curious.

I have already driven an MP62 supercharged car quite a bit. I even posted videos about it as well as my driving impressions.
It was a BRP intercooled setup running on power cards/aux injectors/JR boost/timing controller and pump gas. So not even "well set up". It was fun.
Not "knock your socks off" fun like a proper turbo setup, but very enjoyable. If this runs as good as that setup (it should) I'll be happy for some time til I finish up the turbo setup. IF it runs better, I'll be REALLY happy for quite some time til I finish the turbo setup. The end result goal here is still going turbo though.

I will definitely post more feedback/impressions/review and possibly some videos once its all set up though.

Drives like a stock car with more power.

Imagine if the MX5 came with a 3 litre 4pot motor, that's exactly how it feels. It's no tarmac ripper, it doesn't punch you in the back at 4k, but it does drive very nicely and everything responds very quickly.

Even the most baller turbo setup still requires a nominal amount of time for the turbine to react to throttle requests, this doesn't, that's the small benefit of being directly crank driven.

Won't be anywhere near as quick on a decent circuit, nor be as fuel efficient though.

Horses for courses.

I can second this. Even though I had a sorry M45, it just felt like the stock car, but with moar powa at any RPM. But alas, I prefer the feel of a turbo.

Let me get this straight: I go on vacation for 2 weeks and Vlad buys a FFS kit?

Not buys. Trades. You n00bs can't read

I am making some judgement calls based on circumstances, timing, and the pace of my build thread.

Or maybe its because I hate myself

I actually looked into a used FFS or Moss MP62 simply for the CARB cert after the Rotrex debacle so I can understand the motivation... if that's the motivation.

I'm very interested to see how this comes out. Look me up when you move on to something snail shaped, hopefully Rev will have shipped my MS3 by then

What happens when a spare injector harness meets some ID1000 clips and a soldering iron?

dis

Kinda happy with how clean it came out, and was a really straightforward process.
Crimped and soldered, for her pleasure.

ID1000's are in, nice and snug and all pretty lookin

Next up - pump install and hooking the MS back up as well as wiring in the AEM dbg.

Its right up there with your supra being slow than either of my cars

Back on topic:

-Installed overlay, tensioner and belt (more time consuming than anticipated)
-Rerouted like half the wiring in the engine bay to accomodate new locations for tps, iacv, etc. (HUGE pain in the butt)
-Made and installed above harness for the ID1000's
-Tapped manifold for and installed GM IAT sensor

Today its down to buttoning up a couple things, cleaning up, then start fiddling with the MS and hopefully try to start it.
