Yea I saw that, looks like something in the trunk, or battery caught fire.

The turret was cruddy, I was trying to clean it from the outside and it wasn't working, so I pulled the cover, and hosed it out with brake clean. Once all the crud was gone, this was free to fall out.

It came from here.

I have dubbed this the "făggot spring". Because you need to pull the shift pins to replace it, which would necessitate milling off the peen marks here, and on the other side, and pressing them out.

The pins would have to be reinstalled to the correct depth and re-peened.

O-ring

You cant see it but the O-ring is in there now to take up the gap under the shifter bushing. *** you făggot spring

shifting from 1 through 6

Ready to go for tomorrow.

Did not hear the appropriate noises for shifting through a 6 speed.

Your 5 speed is ready Zach.

6 speed shifts great not sure what everyone complains about, maybe the shift quality goes to **** later in life, maybe its the syncromesh. I dunno. I did 1qt of valvoline syncromesh and 0.8 qts of amsoil 75w90

Im still on stock coils so i think im going to do cops asap just to avoid any issue on the dyno when im nearing 20 psi.

Toyota's aren't any stronger than OEM. Go with whatever @deezums runs. They are dirt cheap.

@ryansmoneypit might even have some sexy CAD files for brackets.

Deezums is the one that recommended the 585s. Awaiting bracket info.

Not $18 or PNP, but probably the hottest cheapest spark you can buy.

Going to a pick and pull might be cheaper, maybe.

Now, how do I wire them to the 1.6 igniter?

You don't, the ls coils have ignitors built in. Basically just give them 12V and ground, tie the signal ground into ground, and bring as many megasquirt triggers directly to the coils as you can.

I made a PNP-esque harness by beating my ignitor with a hammer. I just jumped the triggers over inside the case, also think I spliced the ECU rpm trace to the diag/tach box in there too. The pins inside the case suck for soldering, if I did it again I'd just splice it all together. You can use the coil plugs on that strip of 4 as the end of the harness then.

Not sure if GM coils have a tach signal. If they don't you need a tach out circuit.

Transmission swap great success.

I want a turbo on the track car now. You ruined it for me.

Write TSE a big check and bolt an EFR on. Problem solved.
