Shuiend blows motor #5; Naturally Aspirated Glory Incoming
Ahh **** I was supposed to include some washers to go on either side of the lower turnbuckle, inside of the "ears" on the manifold. When you tighten the lower bolt you shouldn't bend the ears, you should just clamp it together and take up the space with washers if you follow. ?

So for an actual update of what all is installed. Turbo is installed and downpipe is attached. EWG is currently off so that I can figure out what spring I want to run in it and a which air ports I want to use.
Intake piping is all made and I just have to tighten one more clamp and that should be done. Hotside piping is all installed and I just have to tighten all the clamps. Coldside piping is being taken to a shop to have BOV flange welded on in a little bit.
Intake Manifold needs 2 more nuts installed on it.
Water lines need to actually be hooked up. Should only take a few minutes to do.
Test pipe still needs to be made. I will hopefully be taking car to a shop tomorrow morning to have that done.
**** that I just will be wet working on my car. I got towels in my house
Will not happen today. Even if the car is done, Supposed to be to much rain for me to want to take it out and attempt to get into boost/
Drive time to Road Atlanta is 5 hours.
Valve cover will be painted sometime in the future. Really I am lazy and do not want to pull it off again to paint. With VVT it is a little bit more of a pita then the older ones.

Do yourself a favor and tap the fire-ring flush with a deadblow, then tap the wastegate into the flange.
I assembled my AF parts on a Thursday prior to a 5-hour drive to the track, ran for 2-days, then drove home. The only problem I had was smoke from not using an oil restrictor.

The bad part of the thunderstorm warning we have had all day are past me now. So now I can go finish the install. The shop finished welding up my 2 hotside pipes. Welds are not Tim quality, but good enough to live with.

I need to reattach my downpipe in a little bit when my friend gets over to help. Then tidy up a bit and it should be time to start it.

Car is 99% complete. I need to hook up a vacuum line to my wastegate and tighten the turbo and downpipe clamps to specs. It finally started pouring out so I could not finish tonight.

ARGGG at exhaust leak between Turbo and DP. Clamp did not site properly. I am waiting on my friend to get over to fix it.
Other then that car started perfectly and I did not see any leaks in the few seconds that I ran it.
