The one in the back of the block and one next to the washer reservoir I dunno what either of them do..
I also adjusted my dwell to 5 since I guess that's what all miata ignition systems are made to run. Mine was set to 3.
No luck on fixing the dash, the guy that's going to let me test his dash hasn't replied.

On a side note, I feel very unproductive with the car. I have everything to do the wheel bearings/brakes/axle but no means of getting it done. (air tools mainly) I work this Saturday (yay opening a new store and I can buy some t6 with my discount) so hopefully after that I can head to a buddies and knock out all that, I'll end up leaving wishing I had a bigger turbo because we always end up talking about fab work he wants to do when he gets his TIG.

This is his car:

My friend shot that vw ghia, it's pretty badass 1.8 turbo

shouldn't hit block... the block indents below the exhaust flange.

My top mounts have a runner that sits about flush with the exhaust mani flange and it clears no problem, even with the stock coolant line from the mixing valve. you should be OK.

The bigger the size, the more exhaust gases it can vent.

Large turbo + small boost = large gate
Small turbo + ALLOFIT = small gate

Unlikely that you'd ever be doing anything on a BP that would necessitate moving out of the 38-40mm range.

Thanks, from the measurements I took, the housing clears the flange just barely with a centimeter or so room.
And from you said, confirming my idea that the block goes shallower from the head.

Ahh okay, I understood the "bigger more flow" and the whole big turbo vs small turbo figures
The 2876 doesn't seem like it's a small turbo at all, but was thinking of running a 44mm just fir the head room. Since I don't know if a BP flowing enough for 300-400 is too much for 38mm? I wouldn't think so 38mm is bigger than most internal wastegate, right?

I can't wait to take out the MSM set up and install and run all the beautiful AN lines.
The only thing is, my buddy that's doing the welding, wants to wait till he gets his TIG after taxes... I'd love to have sexy welds but that's so far away and I want ALLOFIT now..

2876 is pretty small in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah it ain't no this thing:

It's small compared to everything else.
But in the Miata world is pretty big.
This making me think I'd need 44mm since its "small" and I obviously want to run ALLOFIT.

Now you're getting it. If you were running that thing at like... 5psi or something, you'd want a 50-60mm wastegate.

Sorry I ghost edited my post.

I contacted diy about my iacv circuit still being burnt out.
Also anyone know about my generation ms2pnp? And diyautotune wants to send me a 1.3v mspnp?

Is that a downgrade?

burnt IAC circuit on your car.

I don't think you're getting it, still...

If you're running a small turbo and want to run ALLOFIT, then run a small gate.

From Turbosmart's website:

Big Turbo/Low Boost = Bigger Wastegate
Big Turbo/High Boost = Smaller Wastegate
Small Turbo/High Boost = Smaller Wastegate
Small Turbo/Low Boost = Bigger Wastegate

The reality is that pretty much no BP owner is going to need anything bigger than a 38mm gate.

Aye! I was thinking backwards there. Haha my bad.
Got it, so 38mm it is.

I'm getting a little perturbed about the whole MIG/TIG thing. Especially the more I think about it.

I need to acquire a -4 065 oil restrictor.
Assorted fittings/line will come as well, when I know fir sure what I need.
EWG/blankie to keep churbo warm/downpipe flange on their way.

I'm questioning the MSM oil drain. Very sorry path but it's a 2 hole flange like most turbo oil drain flanges(turboside). I kinda just wanted a nipple or thread to put a -10 on..I like nipples.

I'll probably cut my hood and divert wastegate up and downpipe down and that's it.

As you see, I've stopped giving a ****. The wall that I hit with the IHI is just annoying. Need for ALLOFIT is great. And I think this car/build really loves in the name of Impuls.. sometimes I wonder what the **** am I doing.. then I go for a drive.

I need a job. Military to Selling auto parts, is a joke. Though I'm already stores closing manager with no prior retail/parts experience. Gotta work my way up I suppose.

You will soon quickly realize that all of it for a few days and then none of it because your egay crap assploaded is a whole lot less fun than some of it relatively consistently. You will also realize that removing and reinstalling parts all the time cause they keep breaking is annoying and not fun
Its fun reading about it and looking of pictures of carnage though, so by all means have at it. Just post pics/updates

Oh wellz
