CSS has several advantages.... but probably is not suitable for the all of it crowd.

meanwhile, some synchronized downpipes snuck out of the shed

Austin you are not alone, the evil exchange rate/shipping costs duo often mess my plans. Good to hear you are enjoying your car

PM sent Luke. I am not sure about the td05-16g on a 1.6 unless it is forged as the last set up I did first warped time..... and then the rods.

Recent stuff

A TD04 kit for a MK2.5 with provision for using the stock cat.

A TD04 kit for a 1.6 NA

And a HKS 1.8 replacement manifold

Messing around with better mouse trap ideas.....
Not there yet but the idea is a bar that is easy day to day but does not collapse when the car is upside down.

How come no one else uses predator laser sight gussets?

And for that matter why don't more people tilt turbos?
Is it something got to do with the mind and obtuse angle aversion? (Most manufacturers allow 15 degrees.)
Even with 10 degrees of twist (as in the picture) you can fit a 3" downpipe to a port centered manifold....
as in bye bye boost creep
plus better clearance for coolant piping and oil drain
plus more space to the frame rail at the widest part of the compressor
plus better clearance to PS etc etc

And some thing shiny and burnt to look JDM

Why don't you move the turbo toward the nose of the car? Instead of centering the turbine inlet flange between cylinders 2 and 3, try centering it in front of cylinder 2.

Im 99% certain you gave me a really hard time for building a manifold like this in the past.

Me? The only criticism I've ever had for log manifolds was that the pulses from cyls 1 and 4 crash into each other. A little curvature helps direct them to the turbine housing and prevent pulse reversion. Sturovo tries to direct the flow with most of his designs, but logs are always going to be a compromise in that regard. I run a log, so I get it.

Wouldn't positioning the turbo further forward effect whether it's compatible with P/S.

I suspect a lot of Sturvo's customers have and want to keep P/S.

No, it works really well, if turbo is raised. See my build thread for an example. A

Steve, I made a few setups like that a few years ago. One advantage of Taco style logs is that they are quick and easy to make and offer a decent solution. Surprisingly though it is still difficult to run a 3" downpipe when the turbo is fwt/top mounted.

I usually make axial logs now as the flow characteristics seem to be better and turbo positioning is pretty decent. I made a variation of the axial flow manifold once where the turbo flange was opposite port 2. The flow to the collector area was split horizontally as opposed to vertically. It was real difficult to make and the center manifold stud had to be extended to the width of the manifold. As a casting it could make sense but not definitely not fabricating.

Thanks Lars, I feel special!

Speaking of special, I think it is time to revive this great idea

Which cutout to use? The vacuum one or the electrical?

I mean whats not to like? Keep the stock downpipe and exhaust for times when a civilized 200 WHP is enough and open the loud funnel when you want to bark and spit flames at people?

Some recent stuff included a BBR replacement

Some Vband stuff

NB t25 kit

A cat decat setup

And a weird looking moon
