Thank you Luke, I am glad you like it
I learned to make meaningless diagrams during 6 sigma training in the 90's and thankfully the skill has stuck.
(Or was that fish bone and not fish bowl?)
Recent stuff... a setup for a 1.6na based around a Volvo td04
with divided merge and male turbo flange
and a 1.8 set up for a Focus rs t25 turbo. (I started making braided oil feed lines.)
Flow should be decent
and a couple of my favorite 1.6na td04-13t setups

I worked with a 6 Sigma "black belt" who couldn't find his own *** with both hands awhile back. He was great at painting lines of various colors on the parts department floor for no apparent reason. That guy was so useless.
But I love the fish bowl diagram.

Grasshopper awaits your wisdom. Leafy, teach me lean.
When making the Volvo turbo manifold I came across this, a duratec manifold supposedly made from cast steel. It looks well made.
This should also fit the NC I guess. The downpipe would be tight but it looks like it could work as the Volvo turbo housing is shorter than most.

Meanwhile I made a Californian compliant 80mm downpipe
(I think 100 mm pipe can fit when using a kink in the middle, must try!)
A t25 set up for a 1.6 na
and a replacement 1.8 NA downpipe
I came across some 1.6mm 309 electrodes that work well for exhaust pipes. 35 electrode positive amps and a steady hand give good results.
Decent penetration, no sugaring or splatter with self cleaning flux. Neat, strong 1 pass welds have never been this easy.

but looking at how close your strut is to the engine probably this type would not fit either.

Since then I have made some other serious purchases and recently bought some flat files and a few drill bits.
The next hurdle in my quest to understand "what is miata?" is truly scary as it involves something I can neither see nor touch..... FIRMWARE
