Can you pinch my awful fat folds?
I joined a crossfit gym early this month and lost around 10lbs so far. Went from 205 to 195 but seems to have plateaued for the last week. I only have been drinking water and started bringing lunch to work instead of going out and that has been helping immensely I believe
Haha yeah I only plan to do 2 months and switch back to the normal gym... I really wanted to just jump start myself back into a healthier lifestyle. Since I got married I've let myself go a bit and gained around 15lbs. I really only want to knock that weight off and maintain it from there. It's too expensive anyway long-term. I haven't been pushing myself to the point where I feel like I'm going to hurt myself and the trainers at my gym are careful about not going too hard.
I feel a ton better since starting back up. Physically and mentally. My boss even noticed I've been sharper at work the last month so hopefully I can keep at it.
Meanwhile my wife continues to stock the cabinets with junk food which makes it that much harder.... I want the cake back

Viper I finally acted on your advice this past fall and started lifting bigger and especially eating bigger. Same high quality food, just a lot more of it. My 3x10 routine of the past many years, along with my runners build/history, and high metabolism never got me any strength gains... just endurance. Yes I'm the guy who gets too skinny if I don't actively fight it.
Through the fall and most of winter I jumped on a 5x5 routine for bench, squat, and deadlift. I mix in appropriate accessory lifts on the right days and whatnot with a similar low rep high weight deal.
*I started out weighing 129lbs now I am at 142lbs.
Stealing Ryan_G's gainz format and, by happenstance, workout style:
5x5 Bench - 115lbs -> 160lbs
5x5 Squat - 100lbs -> 175lbs
5x5 Deadlift - 95lbs -> 195lbs (ALSO started light on this because I didn't want to **** up my back)
I don't know why my bench is relatively high. I'm still angry how squat feels like my weakest area and am working on that. Certainly my focus for the coming months, with deadlifts behind that. I know bench will be OK regardless lol.
Kinda been slacking lately but I'll be back on it as I want to break 200s and then some.

I just yanked 5x235 deadlifts. That's approaching my limit. I have been doing stronglifts off and on for the last 15 months. I have a toddler that likes to make our whole family sick for weeks at a time and it stops me working out for a long stretch, meaning i have to start over. I'm trying very hard to power through it this cold season and just go boss mode.
My squats are maxing out at 160ish because I'm a skinny ****.

On a good note I have lost about 20 lbs since I started and I am back in the 170's for the first time in a couple years. I plan to cut all the way down to the 160's and then start a slow bulk.
Dont feel too too bad, the last time I was doing a workout with weight and not body weight my 15, 12, 10 routine was 135, 185, 225 for bench and deadlifts and 135, 155, 185 for squats. But I could shrug over 4 bills for 12 reps, so I had that going for me, which was nice.

Completed 240 x 5 reps. This is #3. I'm quickly reaching a level of "adding weight every time" that is unsustainable for me. It is ~140% of my BW and that aint all muscle.
