I'm not too sure but i think hes trying to avoid running the exhaust through the firewall between the crotch next to the right butt cheek of the passenger?

Maybe you already posted your reasoning for that clusterfawked routing, but can you go over it again?

I mean that looks downright moronic, but maybe there's genius to it and I'm just not seeing it.

Why would you not do a "traditional" supra turbo orientation?

I am not sure why you think it looks like a clusterfawked but her is what I can tell you. The inter cooler is gone so I can run a bigger radiator the cooling of the charge will be delt with, with methanol. This is the most simple way to route all the pipes without interfering with anything else. It lets me get to the distributor the and coolant hoses. As far as mounting the turbo in the standard "supra" format I cannot do that because of the size of the turbo. If I had a GTE engine with coil packs I might be ok but with my GE the turbo hits the distributor and the head so you cannot bolt it down in the normal fashion. This does help in a way as well because with the turbo mounted in the traditional way the only place for the exhaust to go is out the hood or out the fender. I could also cut a giant hole in the firewall and notch the ---- out of it but that is not possible at this time. With the turbo backwards the exhaust can go down next to the block and forward to exit out the front bumper with also leaves a little room to run a muffler.

I tired to run the piping a million way and this one looks best. If anyone has another way they would run it please let me know and I would be glad to look into how it would work.

I don't know how I feel about the exhaust coming out of the front bumper...you will definitely scare the ---- out of people but you may also get exhaust fumes in your face when driving.
Astroboy , I am still contimplating making a new oil feed line and running it under the turbo I just do not like the idea of having that many bends in the feed line not shore why it would matter but personal preference does.lol The charge pipes and exhaust are not done just tacked into shape. They charge piping will be wrinkle black the exhaust will be heat wrapped then painted DEI high temp black. As far as the exhaust out the bumper it is on tha passenger side so no big deal. When you all see the way the exhaust comes out it will make more sens.

I was thinking more along the lines of making it a tad longer and going around the block. I think the charge pipes look good, just giving my opinion on the gloss or wrinkle black question.

I just went back and watched the flapper video's again...really interested in seeing the new routing. If you were to bring the flapper back perhaps make it flush with the hood and painted red

I think the flapper is gone for ever :( it was fun but the new way is much nicer and when it is done and you all see it you will love it. I know already. Going around the block on the oil line is an option I may have to look at that when I get home.

Mandrel Bending Solutions did the LSX exhaust in my Miata. They're great to deal with.

Why not just ditch the Maf and dist and megasquirt this bitch and run some LSX coils? It'd clean up a bunch of the wiring and piping.

Anybody have a clue where to get reasonably priced 16"x10" wheels other than diamond racing? If not I will be ordering 4 16x10 low offset wheels from them tomorrow to match my fender flares.

Ok so I have been doing a ton of searching and come to the conclusion that I think I am going to order 16x10 0 offset diamond racing wheels. I played with the idea of having a +10 in the front and a -5 in the back but I would rather have wheels I can rotate if I want to. At least for the first miles all the tires will be the same size then at some point I am going to get a set of slicks for the back or maybe even all the way around have not fully decided yet.

Sean,
I wasn't trying to offend you or anything, just curious.
It just seems crazy how the downpipe is right next to the intake tube and the compressor outlet is right next to the exh manifold. Then there's no intercooler either so IMO you're going to have to shoot a ton of water/meth to cool that charge down.

I was not offended in any way I love to get feedback from all of you guys because it keeps me sane. In this case I tried about a million different ways to run the piping and this happened to be the best. As far as the water meth I will be running a lot but because I am only gonna run 15psi through the turbo I am only using meth to cool the intake not as extra fuel. If I needed it as fuel too I would need a ton but I think I will be ok. As far as the turbo charge pipe and compressor being next to the exhaust I could not find another way around so I kinda have to deal with it. My first choice would be to go thru the fender and up but no room with the tire wheel combo I wanna run so its this way. I would like to encourage everyone to make comments good and bad on the build because I have done things in the past that people look at and say WTF? then I look again and think the same thing lol. So in my book all comments good and bad have their place.

Ok I got my down pipe back today and my charge piping but I need to wait to get my new BOV before it is completly installed. I am going to order either a tial 50mm knock off or the new godspeed 50mm. Also as soon as my taxes come back I will be ordering my diamond racing wheels. 16"x10" 0 offset front and back should give the car a really really nice stance with the flares on it. I hope to mount up my wing in the next two weeks as well.

Ok so not a lot is getting done this weekend. The guy that lives upstairs in on night shift so I cant make any noise. Being that I need to cut and weld ---- this does not help at all. I think I am going to change out my door cards for my new ABS door cards and hopefully mount my air fuel gauge and also need to take a ton of fuel out of my FIC because there is way way way to much fuel at idle. I think I am gonna take 40% out of everything below 3000 and see where that gets me.

Ok managed to get a little work done this weekend. I did some major work on the dd miata it needed a timing belt water pump and all the seals. Thats done so it was time to do some work on the toy. I made a new coil and igniter bracket, got my air filter and it fits!!!, and I also got the radiator lower bracket holder made when I get a chance I will get some pics of the super easy bracket I made.lol It worked out great.

Here is the filter sorry for the crappy pic but it is a K&N and should work great.

Then this sweet little bracket. It made of some aluminum I bent up and some rivnuts for easy removal of the components.

Next we have a few pics of the radiator. The car was jammed in my little garage so I will gets some pics from farther away when I get a chance. I have to say that it fits rally good for how big it is.

let me know what you all think. Oh and yes I cut out all the upper radiator support for ease of installation and removal.

Sean, I think I told you about these guys before, but if I didn't I think they are a great resource.

http://www.petersonfluidsys.com/tank_spec.html

They will make you any aluminum container you want for very cheap. They made a a custom spec catch can for me with -12 fittings and a petcock for $45.

Give them a call, tell them what you want, and they will email you a technical drawing for your approval. Awesome

The bracket is pretty sweet, great use of rivnuts imo. I would try to reconnect the tops of the front end. I don't really think there will be any structural loss but it couldn't hurt to connect the tops with some metal along the front of the radiator.
