Door complete - Wasn't easy. My car has keyless entry and the donor didn't. The door handle was rod actuated, my door was cable, the latch module on mine was like 3 times the size AND the entire harness was different! The donor door does not have a lock or unlock button... 5 hours later..

Came out great!

Nice job! Yup, 99-00 and 01+ are very different. Even down to the door wiring.

Did I miss the explanation as to why this happened?

Never said. Let's just say that after I tossed on my track tires I was unfamiliar with how to handle my car under power on the street while getting sideways. The KDW tires I had were extremely predictable while sideways. They also don't require heat to become sticky.

I'll do the drinking- you do the driving. I honestly have never been in another turbo Miata. .. strange.

Feedback from you guys...?
  1. At the track after everything was getting pretty warm my shifter felt like ish. Sloppy all over the place. Any feedback on a 6 speed short throw kit? Or shold I just replace the factory turett bushings?
  2. Anyone use Poly motor mounts? I tossed in the Mazdaspeed set but clearly they were never intended for the type of power I'm making. Also I think it's wise to firm up the front of the assembly considering i'm using the Beatrush Diff brace in the rear. My expirence has always been, every mount on the drive train should be the same material or you end up destroying stuff. I still have a decent amount of drive train movement under hard accelleration.

Its just that it was "supposed to be done at the end of May, and its nearly end of June, and they're still "finishing it up"

They are so effin slow. Which is no surprise, but still.

They actually shipped everything that they had in stock very quickly. I've been happy. Also - they know I'm not in a rush. Being that it's a sponsored manifold I really couldn't ask for more.

With at clean and well put together as the car is in the Miata community, I'm surprised the car isn't sponsored for more things.

I think you said something about brake fade. I have the powerslot slotted rotors on my car, and on the dragon last year, going down hills and what not i didn't have any problems at all. Though, i have the better Hawk pads than you, and i didn't have a turbo at that time.

Anyway. Revshift on xceed has the dimensions for motor mounts but he has not made them yet. I swear that guy seems to not want money. I'm also thinking of getting poly motor mounts, as i have tons of slop, primary in my shifter. Any solutions for wheel hop?

diff mounts and stiffer rear suspension should do the trick. possibly one of those triangle braces too if its that bad

I have diff mounts in the back and the beat rush "Triangle" braces. I think the slop is coming from the engine side of things.

Interesting. I haven't run aftermarket engine mounts on any of my miatas, in for results.

Do you get a good bit of gear whine and clunking/banging from the rearend after installing the diff brace? I guess I'm getting use to it now, but for a while I was paranoid the rearend was coming apart on me. It has helped a good bit with wheelhop on my car but I haven't been able to get rid of it completely.

I can't wait to see what the manifold does for you.
