He had to make sure the bolt edges were nice and tight so that it could cut the belt with no problems.

Don't worry, it is more frayed than it appears to be.

Improper use of tools. Five yard penalty. Third down.

Those bolts don't look like they were taken off by plier; they look like they were taken off by sawzall.

Ok car back on the road. Only leaking a smallish amount of oil now.

omg car feels massively slow

HUGE BOOST LEAK FAIL

In other news my manual stage 3 forester 16g is on the road. Quite fun at 15psi. Gonna put a Feal suspension on it and it should be fun. Tuned it in 20 minutes haha NO THANKS TO 18PSI.

Scott if you want to test drive it you can. Its prob arohnd 220/230hp.

Ughhh gotta find a 4" to 2.5" reducer so i can test it.

1) I'm not sharing my custom tuned map for a completely different year/engine/setup and will have next to nothing in common with yours.
2) I offered you to look over your map and make adjustments and help you out, you ignored that offer.
3) I'm going to laugh my *** off when you toast yet another subaru engine, because there is no way in hot hell that thing is tuned after 20 minutes of tuning by someone that knows jack $hit about subarus and opensource.

No offense, and you know I love you b00
My previous offer still stands.

Snuggles i used my previous noknock vf43 timing map and did the fuel by hand.

Lemme send you my map. It took me 15 minutes to do the fuel but i know there are lots of issues like rescaling. Tuning opensource is actually WAY harder than hydra or any standalone. Very obtuse.

completely 100% agree.
megasquirt is like childs play compared to all the scaling, corrections, and other bs you have to do with romraider/ecuflash

I love megasquirt

Theoretically, if you didnt touch the timing at all and just tuned the fuel enough to make the car able to be driven I can see like half an hour be enough. By no means would it be ideal or a power tune but the engine *shouldn't* blow up.

That being said, Subi engines are very tempermental and I would strap that thing on a dyno and do it properly.

The more pages that are added to this thread, the more I'm starting to think failflora dosent actually like to drive... he like swapping engines more.

I guess zero.

The only thing he's going to be breaking is more engines.

Someone should take a sawzall to this ------- thread and close it already.

He failed. It's his destiny to fail.

In for permanent name change to failflora.

Previous engine died because stupid oil feed clogged.

I reused my old safe timing map and some other maps. That cut down on a lot of time.

You guys don't understand. When you have ambitious goals, you have to be ok with setbacks.
