What does everyone do with those useless things? I should have pulled and plugged them while i had the chance. Maybe ill hook them up to a filter through a solenoid as a sort of electric choke/idle up.

I know, I need to get some in the right size that are made of quality rubber. Its just that if there are ports, they should be used, if not, they shouldn't exist.
I use one for my blowoff valve and I might end us using the other for cruise again, though I'd like a all electronic unit that don't use vac...
Don't you need vacuum for the BOV?
Also, what the hell are the ports on the first and fourth intake runners? Are those normal, you have them too?

The port on runner 1 connects to the TB on mine and appears to either be part of the base idle circuit or IAC. The port on runner 4 is a mystery and was blocked off from the factory.
That port on the back is the same size right? I'd try and order that sucker, mine's not moved in 25 years even under boost. I didn't know it was even there till I took the manifold off. Kinda forgot the front one goes to the throttle body, had to go look real quick.
I used painters tape to seal one of mine up, can't believe it's lasted all this time...

You have spring clamp?
I should have done that! I guess that's something else my previous owner removed, nice!
Wish those things were easier to find, I'd actually like a few for my PCV setup.

I do, and it appears original.
Theyre everywhere, just search "constant tension clamp".

Ah, I meant locally. Sizing those things is a PITA as you've found, since they need to be close. I'd like some larger ones and they're a bit bigger than the auto parts stores here have.
I'll probably end up ordering a whole crapload online.

All my caps arent even clamped, except for the one capping the pcv port because that one's pretty big. All the small ones just stay on with friction. And I've hit my 20psi boost cut a bit lately between cranking up wgdc to "fix" things like no wastegate preload or boost solenoid unplugged.

Gotcha.
Also the Mazda ones are really nice quality, not like the ebay or parts store junk. I actually studied it pretty well when it was in my hand as it caught my eye. They are 2 layers of spring steel somehow bound together. Which if you think about it is really ******* awesome. It keeps the spring rate the same while allowing for more flex before yield as well as more cycles. It was meant to be reused.
BAM!
CLAMP SMALL,HOSE (JF02-15-538) - $3.59 - JF0215538
They even come with a little clip that holds them open until your ready to use them.
