I'd be interested in buying that water neck from you, was kinda curious if a smallblock piece could be modified to fit. Guess there's a caravan with a water inlet about right as well, but not the right angle...
Have any of you ever used the spray sealant with those heat wraps, to keep it from sucking up water and corrosives?

The spray sealant is for the fiberglass wrap only. Not to be used with titanium.
I'll pm you in a bit about the neck, welding right now.

I'll look when I get home. I bought it at the bolt and fastener store, now that I think about it. It has only come off of my FM cast mani in the places where I have gouged or scratched it. It is very durable and looks much better than rust brown would have.

Can anyone guess the max temp at the WG merge near the 3" v band? Im wondering if it ever gets to 250F, its a good ways from the turbo outlet and in the breeze.
I have an idea and need to know if buna-N will survive or if not, im sure viton will with a 400F rating.

What are you trying to do down there?

Temperatures there will probably eclipse 400F easily since it is a track car... I would imagine the exhaust gas would still be over 1000F at that point in the exhaust. Probably about 1500F before the turbo in boost. You will definitely melt those the first time you hit a dyno where there is pretty much no airflow under the car though.
>1000*F. Likely a lot hotter.

You guys are probably right, not sure what I was thinking lol. It works on dirtbike exhaust so I thought it would work here. Now that I think of it, 2 stroke EGTs are significantly lower than a boosted 4 stroke.
Was going to make an o ring slip joint, so itll just have to metal on metal.

Plan A.- **** the good advice from deezums and aidan, remove turbo like a man
Plan B-Fab o-ring coupler like a moron, totally discounting entropy
Plan C- Fab steel slip joint thingy

Does this make aidan, tommy, pat and aaron happy?

And DP is ******* done. It god dam hot outside, my welds suffer in the summer time... not that im a particularly good welder to begin with. Im done for the day.
I got half way done welding this side and realized it warped, so I had to cut it off and start over.

copper anti seize splooge

pinch bolt is easily accessible with a wrench or socket. The entire exhaust can be taken apart with one 10mm wrench.

I'll admit it, I got some welding to do myself, and it's just too hot outside! I'm going to try to get to it tonight.... But yes it's stupid hot, impressive that you're still getting work done! Looks nice too!

Its been a mild summer to be honest, and im in the garage with a fan or swamp cooler (when im not welding since it blows the gas away). But still, its 100+, ive got leather on, and sweat keeps dripping onto my work, constantly. Ever feel like flys or something are crawling all over your legs because of sweat running down your calves. yea.
