I see the propaganda machine is out in force on this story today.
But suggestions of a conflict of interest due to Musk’s proximity to the White House and his role at the newly-minted Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) may have prompted a change of heart.
An earlier version of the document, which can still be found, listed “Tesla Armored Electric Vehicles.” But an updated version has amended this to just “Armored Electric Vehicles,” while leaving in a separate line still referencing BMW AG DE:BMW +5.30% ▲ , whose armored X5 and X7 SUVs the State Department also wants to buy.
It’s unclear whether this actually means there never was a plan to purchase Tesla armored vehicles, or if the State Department has ditched its intention to make those vehicles Tesla, or if it still plans to go ahead with the Tesla purchase anyway while removing the reference to Tesla in the procurement list.
Responding to developments, Musk replied, “I’m pretty sure Tesla isn’t getting $400M. No one mentioned it to me, at least.”
It’s worth noting that the original State Department procurement form was from before the Trump administration took over.
Interestingly, the original document mentioning Tesla listed the planned procurement under NAICS Code 311999, which Time notes is an industry code for miscellaneous food manufacturing. The updated version features NAICS Code 561613 for “Armored Car Services.”
Plus, he already said he would cancel any of his gov't subsidies (which is less than any other car manufacturer out there).
Side note: I used to work for DOS Diplomatic Services and I got the see some of the armors/emergency vehicles the embassies would receive before they shipping them out. cool ****.

You guys are getting a bit too caught up in the "red vs blue". I think democrats and republicans alike are a bunch of scammers. To say that one side is while the other is not shows nothing but a lack of understanding. Based on what I have seen in this thread, no one has bought into the propaganda harder than @Braineack .
No one is saying it's good spending...
1. Only an idiot would request an electric armored vehicle for a host of reasons.
2. If Kamala had won, the administration damn sure wouldn't have bought vehicles from Elon because he sided with Trump.
3. Biden's handlers (we all know Biden didn't know where he was) dumped a huge amount of money into Rivian after losing the election. They did it to spite Elon and try to hurt his Tesla marketshare.
-If you think that shining the light of truth on the dealings of our government and the people we send there to do our bidding is propaganda, I'd love you to share some truths that we may have missed. Totally serious.

One of my favorite quotes is from PJ O’Rourke -
“Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.”
I’m afraid it’s more like giving my credit card to a junkie.

While Clinton isn't my favorite person, he did cut spending and didn't start any wars. Might have been a bit too soft with the Armed Forces. Can't say that about any Dem after, especially Barry.

Barry was a game changer: he charmed his way into WH, then started race wars.
I can't think of another truck that comes off the lot basically bulletproof to small arms fire. I'd also say that the autonomous driving feature may come in handy in emergencies. Tesla has said that they'll never build another stainless car, and I'm wondering in 50 years if the Cybertruck will be seen as a dud or a diamond.

Obviously, because I am not a moron. Not that scientific sources will mean anything to you, but if you want some on the efficacy of vaccines, I am happy to send them over. But I am guessing you think more along the lines of believing whatever stupidity you see on the news without actually verifying the claims you see read (what was I thinking, you don't read lol). Honestly though, I am ok with it.
Here are thing the vaccine did:
- Make a few people a lot of money
- allow blatant and rampant abuse of the 2020 general election
- gave gov't the power to force businesses to close
- force what citizens were required to wear, and prevent them from buying (non-essential items like seeds) and using certain products (actual proven safe/effective medicines),
- creation of fun tiktok videos from nurses
- staggering VAERS injury/adverse event reports
Here are things it did not do:
- be safe
- be effective
- flatten the curve
- stop the spread of covid
- slow the spread of covid
- prevent hospitalizations from covid
- protect the vaccinated from covid against the unvaccinated
- prevent deaths from covid
- evolve science
- prevent a Winter Of Death
The USA has clearly failed and it is time for a reset. So bring on the polio!!
If you don't want a nation full of vaccine doubters, than don't gaslight them into a blood-clot/myocarditis injection -- then tell them those issues were just symptoms of the virus they were being "protected" from in the first place.
fwiw, I take a monthly biologic. the best part about it: it actually works.

Enjoy your "peer reviewed studies" and heightened chances of heart failure/cancer,super AIDS. Praying for you.
There is literally no study with a control group.

Buddy you can save those Google Scholar links your were peddling a while back, the only people still defending the vaccines are those who made money off of them or those who can't come to terms with the reality of their decision and how they were duped.

How do you think polio was eradicated?!
Here is a link that goes over vaccines. I pre-filtered the results so they are for elementary school aged kids, hopefully this will allow you to understand it... https://www.hhs.gov/letsgetreal/lear...seases?age=310
