This is related to what I wrote on Feb 20 in post # 32422, specifically in the way that different people can perceive the same reality differently.
Many of us here perceive a socialist-leftist Democrat government as a serious threat to the security of our country, and to the liberty of our people. A substantial subset of that group believes that politicians such as Trump are the solution.
Many on the bad, dumb, ignorant "other side" perceive a nationalist Republican government as a serious threat to the security of our country, and to the liberty of our people. A substantial subset of that group believes that politicians such as Harris are the solution.
Note the similarity here: both groups are primarily advocating in favor of the status-quo, and disagree mainly as to which specific politicians they trust to be their savior.
To quote PJ yet again -
“Every government is a parliament of ******. The trouble is, in a democracy, the ****** are us.”

But yes in general the left wants to tax everything, pretend it helps the poor, then send all that money overseas and into their personal charities.
The right cries about it, and asks for more donations, and lets it happen -- also lining their own pockets.
I don't remember that at all. I wonder if the covid vaccine wiped my memory. This does track though, you think you know better than doctors and I recognize how facts and data work.

Yale researchers recently made some discoveries about why certain people experience this condition, which they have dubbed “post-vaccination syndrome” (PVS).
...
People with this condition may suffer from excessive fatigue, exercise intolerance, brain fog, insomnia and dizziness, according to the Yale researchers.
...
“It’s clear that some individuals are experiencing significant challenges after vaccination. Our responsibility as scientists and clinicians is to listen to their experiences, rigorously investigate the underlying causes, and seek ways to help,” said co-senior author Harlan Krumholz, professor of cardiology at YSM, in the release.
“Post-vaccination syndrome is real, and has been found [to occur] from many vaccines, including COVID,” Dr. Marc Siegel, clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone Health and Fox News senior medical analyst, told Fox News Digital. The researchers analyzed blood samples from 42 study participants who experienced symptoms of PVS and 22 who did not.
Those with symptoms were shown to have lower levels of two types of white blood cells. People with PVS who had never had COVID also had lower levels of antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, likely because they tended to have fewer vaccine doses, according to the release.
“Fewer vaccine doses and no viral infection means the body’s immune system has had little opportunity to develop a defense to the virus,” said the researchers.
Some of the people with PVS also had higher levels of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, which enables the virus to penetrate and infect host cells. This has also been linked to a higher risk of developing long COVID.
ah, the vaccine that enables the virus it's protecting you against to penetrate and infect host cells and gives you a higher risk of developing long covid.

Not that most of you in your echo chamber will care, but braineack banned me because he didn't like seeing things that went against the thoughts in his simple brain. Pretty hilarious overall given the context of our country. Just silence anyone who disagrees with you. Hopefully one of the other moderators here can make this right since I didn't violate any forum rules. Welcome to your future!
edit - Here is the message he sent. Poor Scott feels like he was abused. What a snowflake...

Seemingly embedded in the sarcastic remarks, ambiguous comments, etc. a conversation still moves forward. I think at a certain point, when a person is deemed to lean more heavily on trolling vs discussion continuity, it's not unreasonable. It's always a wonder to me after the past 5 years or so that someone can still declare "TRUST THE SCIENCE (err, know your place you non-doctor)", is rather remarkable.

It is always a wonder to me that people with no formal education in medicine think they know enough to tell others what medical decisions they should be making. 30 minutes of reading at www.im-correct.com and everyone thinks they are an expert.
I disagree here. The conservative/maga approach is far from status-quo. Rhino/GOP, sure. But the current admin no.

In light of recent events, we made it clear that additional violations of our platform’s rules would result in enforcement action. Our public interest framework is designed to allow people to hear directly from influential figures and leaders. However, this does not mean these accounts are exempt from our policies, including those prohibiting the incitement of violence.

There are a whole lot of non-doctors in this thread giving input and saying how actual doctors are wrong. Know your place.

Assessment
We evaluated these posts under our policy designed to prevent statements that could inspire others to commit violent acts and determined that they were highly likely to encourage further escalation.
This decision is based on several factors, including:
- JD8’s statement about not attending the leadership event being interpreted by supporters as a sign that they should challenge the event’s legitimacy and take action.
- The post could be seen as encouraging those contemplating disruptive or violent actions by implying the event will proceed without opposition.
- The use of “POWERFUL VOICE” and “will not be silenced” is being interpreted as a refusal to accept the transition of leadership, potentially emboldening individuals who believe in resisting the process.
- Plans for additional protests and unrest have already begun circulating, including discussions of disruptive actions at key locations.
I personally know of two people that got myocarditis from the covid vaccine. They will be on blood thinners and other meds for the rest of their life.
The vaccine was rushed and should only have been offered to those with comorbidities. Healthy people especially children did not have issues with covid. Hindsight is 20-20, but the information about the long-term effects and its efficacy were kept from us. This alone should have allowed us to make the decision about using this experimental therapy.
I think we can all agree that socialism and communism have performed poorly in other countries. They are not a good fit for the USA and not what the majority of the working class in this country want.

From here on out we may only reference peer-reviewed studies that have been approved by both the FDA and the pharmaceutical companies responsible for producing the vaccines in question.
Thank you for your understanding.
