Really though, for the resolution you want, its not going to be a cheap tool. And do you have the machinists feel to nail 1/10 thou with a thumbwheel?

They will distort if you torque them to a value that results in a higher clamping force than the stock bolts torqued to stock spec. If you want to run them, just have the machine shop do a line bore/line hone and be done. 200 is a fair price, I paid either 200 or 250 for the same on mine.

I'm sure we could get any number of people here on either side for the main line bore. And although I have increased the budget for this build, there still is one, and i need to cut corners somewhere.
It's physics. Things bend when you apply a load. Higher loading will cause more bending. If this seems debatable, I'm out!
I don't have the specs in front of me either. I would imagine they are stronger than the stock bolts, and thus will require a higher torque. Also ARP typically uses a low friction lubricant, and fine pitch threads to increase clamping force. That's 3 things that all result in higher clamping force.
