this happened to my while I was dremeling last weekend. I was wearing protective glasses and telling my father-in-law about the time I was replacing a diff and got rust in my eye and had to get it removed, so now i wear protective eyewear.
obviously that didnt help.
But like a man (and since all eye places were closed for the night), I got it out myself with my fingernail.

After this vid I found some time by keeping 3rd gear in #2, treating #4 as a baby double-apex on the inside, less lift and more throttle in #7-8. I need a corner balance and alignment pretty bad.

What should I do about the exhaust?
I'm taking the car to MSR-C next weekend and that will be my last track day of the year, so I'd like to track it again ASAP. I NEED to apply what I learned at Hallett to MSR-C and see what happens.
- Call Goodwin and complain that I had to "race" on a poorly fitting exhaust, rather than send it back when I knew it didn't fit?
- Mod the cat-delete pipe and make it longer so the exhaust comes closer to fitting?
- Mod the mid-pipe and make it longer so the exhaust comes closer to fitting?

Email them, they will probably take 10 YEARS to respond, during which time you can track the car for the last time then figure out what you want to do with the leak.
I'm sure their cust service on the phone is top notch, and when I ordered parts I got them swiftly, but their email response BLOWS :

Modding the delete-pipe makes sense, but that part acutally fits. I keep telling myself to "mangle ill-fitting parts", not parts that fit properly.

Is it worth the discussion since I drove the car, knowing the exhaust didn't fit? If I did not drive on it and sent it back, I'm sure they'd replace it. However this exhaust has already been through some track time, bent to fit, and cursed at.
