This is the one I was talking about:

Except I was talking about maybe 300/300 that would be on stock motor and with less supporting mods needed therefore much much cheaper. Basically like a v8

I dunno, I was just sayin.

Seriously. What's up with that flat dash? It's like it's from the 80's.

I got an opportunity to sit in one at the Denver auto show today. It wasn't quite as nice as I expected but definitely seems like a drivers car. I'm curious to see how the steering and shifting feels.

Steering is well weighted and accurate but numb.

The shifting is sloppy. Feels like a WRX shifter that has a shifter kit but no bushings done to it.

The good thing is for less than $100, the bushings are available and Kartboy just released a short shifter that is supposed to be an improvement as well.

Coolest part of that video were the little chriscrossed braces holding up the tail pipe.

you can get 'obsolete' ex nascar windsor SBF and chevy SB2 engines from a few engine builder shops for not a lot of money. Someone should do that to their track miata...9k+ dry sump V8.

Yeah, the Sprintex kits are quickly loosing interest on the forums due to their lack of information. I think people forget the cars have only been out less than a year and look at the number of kits already out there. There are more forced induction options out there than Miatas.

That does bring up another good point: the lack of good FI solutions for the NC. I thinking it might be easier now that ECUtek is available.

I think that's more because 90% of NC's are driven by 90 year old wine-n-cheese'rs who would rather install a dash kit and engine dress up kit vs something that actually makes their car faster.

The toyobaru is driven more by the 25-35 crowd from what I've seen so far.

Well that is where the Toybaru is marketed. I don't really see much marketing for the NC (at least not in my area).

So far the cars seem to be responding well to forced induction initially, but even with the ECUtek reprogramming some companies are really having problems getting the ECU to remain stable. That seems to be the problem that Innovate is having with their Sprintex SC. Its got the instant gratification crowd (mostly people who don't even own a FR-S/BRZ) all up in arms because there isn't a dyno graph available.

Oh I'm not upset about it. Just curious. I am 110% sure I wouldn't get that kit anyway, even if I were to rock one of these things in the future.

As much as I wanna argue with Sav and FTB about torque under curve, I still partially agree with them

I think I read in here that the Innovate S/C kit, which may or may not ever exist, was a roots blower.

That is most definitely a Twin screw, which makes it way cooler.
Id rock it.
