I will have some track time on my Nissan RB26 OEM Inconel studs shortly.

$6/stud $3/nut.

Manifold side is m10x1.5 and oddly the turbo side is m10x1.25

I ran these on my old built RB26 (585AWHP on dyno dynamics) at 1.8BAR without any issues. The car also saw some hard track days however no real "racing"... so it will be tough to compare.

Hopefully they will be good enough for me.

Where would a person go to buy Resbond 907TS?

It has actually been discussed that the BP engine has harmonics that seem to cause them to come apart, not so much how are you are driving them. Granted that is a good price on them though. What is the length on them by chance?

Every once and a while it seems like a member buys a big bottle of it and sells off little bottles in the classifieds. Must only be able to purchase it in a semi-bulk amount.

I'll check when I get home.

So should I couple the studs with some resbond?

Might not be a bad idea I guess...

this is the only place I've ever heard of selling it, but you get alot more than 1 person could ever use. I think savington is sending it out with his stud kit, you might see if he'll sell you some of his.

has anyone installed this stuff and taken it back apart? I have a bottle I bought a while back, but I'm scared to use it...

Let me know as this might come in handy for my exhaust manifold to engine studs.

I got mine here:
http://www.034motorsport.com/product...roducts_id=609

The bottle only indicates 907 instead of 907TS. Not sure if there is a difference between this and 907TS. I'll have to check if there's fine print when I get home.

Where might one find those available for purchase?

If they are not long enough it doesn't really matter that much... In theory, the longer the better as long as you can still have clearance on your housings. The more thread engagement... The better so to say.

Do you need the overall length or just one threaded side? Both threaded sides are different lengths.

Nissan.

It's a shared part with some North American Nissans... so it should be easy to find. I just ordered mine from my local dealer. I'll try to find teh part numbers for you guys... actually I think I listed it on an earlier page?

Both would be extremely helpful... So I will know how far they thread into the engine and how much room I have to attach the manifold to said engine. So basically both threaded portions and the overall would be awesome.

Which grade bolt/nut is best around downpipe/turbo? Some say ss, some say grade 8? Which one can withstand the heat and won't corrode like crazy and get stuck like weld?

I deleted all these posts because they're lame. Ask more stupid questions in this super long thread and you'll get a warning or worse.

y8s... One of those replies was due to my question about the Nissan Inconel studs and nuts length as a viable option.

I thought those inconel studs stretched. Was that rumor or different set of studs? I realize this could come across as looking snotty, but I am really not trying to be or intending to be. I just want to make sure I have my facts straight.

It comes across as libelous and vindictive as well as snotty. Our studs have been tested in 3 different cars. Two R&D sets exist and I know exactly where both of them are. None of them have ever been stretched - in fact, one set was just torture tested for 1.5 days at MRLS where they held up as expected - perfectly. The other set was at MRLS as well, but I haven't had a chance to talk to him about how the test went - his first day with them went well, but he was having problems with one of your downpipes that kept him off track.

I'd like to hear where you heard that rumor, Stephanie.

A few worthless posts have been deleted, and there shall be decorum in this thread until Stephanie and Sav have come to consensus.
